At the southernmost and most Pacificy corner of the South Pacific, one might find a realm where chill, fresh winds sweep down from glacier-capped mountains, and cold, cleansing mists roll in from the sea. Lands, possibly, where wooly sheep outnumber people eight to one, and in a quirk of hemispheric fate, summer doesn’t even begin until well after ours is ending. And then there’s the Vegemite . . . lots and lots of Vegemite. With all of this in mind, it seems only right and proper that Bonobos celebrate a bit of these ruggedly virile, sheep-shearing regions with a line of aptly-named wool sweaters. And if it’s cool, crisp weather you seek, may we suggest Wellington, Canberra, and Hobart?

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand, and in many ways the capital sweater of the Bonobos wool collection. Made from some of the finest Italian cashmere available today, and featuring subtle yet stylish contrast ticking stripe along the side, this v-neck sweater is the epitome of a luxurious woolen garment. Soft can’t begin to describe it, but for lack of a better word, it must suffice. Incredibly soft, unbelievably warm, the Wellington will be your showpiece luxury sweater for all of the sweater season.

Closet Staple by Will

I never really thought of a cashmere sweater as the perfect clothing companion but this sweater sure is. I wear it all the time over collared shirts (with or without a tie).

Definitely with the $ by Charles

This is the softest, best-fitting sweater I've ever owned. Sure, it's not cheap, but the cashmere is incredibly smooth, and so far, it hasn't shown any signs of pilling, even though I've worn it a lot.

FWIW, I take a size 44 jacket, and the large fits just right. I tried the XL, which is what I usually wear in shirts, but it was too loose. So order a size down.
