What you need to know

Timberland planted its roots in 1952, when Nathan Swartz bought parts of the Abington Shoe Company. His education from this company led to his own innovation, learning the craft of making shoes and then working on ways to make them better. In 1965, the Swartz family introduced injection molding to the footwear industry and the first truly waterproof Timberland leather footwear was born. Eight years later, the first Timberland boot was introduced. This now iconic piece of footwear was Timberland's shining example of rugged durability and exceptional craftsmanship. In 1978, the company took on the official name "The Timberland Company," and they sewed their first hand-sewn casual shoe.

Keep them forever

I've had these boots for almost two years and they only get better with age. The fit is true to size and they remain very comfortable with little break in period. Maybe a bit casual for the office, but perfect for everywhere else. I get relentless complements and I've thought of buying a few more pairs just in case they stop making them. An all time favorite. I recommend checking out the rest of the earthkeeper line as well.

Worth the wait!

Waited forever to get a pair and they were worth the wait! Didn't hurt that they were 20% off too. These are incredibly comfortable boots. Surprisingly soft too. I am all over the place when it comes to sizing. My sneakers are a 10. My trainers are a 9.5 as are my dress shoes. I probably could have gone with either a 9.5 or 10 in these. Got them in a 10 because I figured I'd be wearing thicker socks and it was the only size I could get.

They look great and are very comfortable. Very happy with them. Only downside was the sizing. I am a 13 in everything and the 13 in these boots was huge... I sized down to a 12 (which normally would be way small) and it fit just right.

Look great, beware of fit

I normally wear a 10 1/2 and was surprised to find that the same size in this boot was two sizes too large for my feet. I had almost an inch of space between my toes and the front of the boot. I haven't been able to try a smaller size because they are out of stock. Despite the fit issues, I like the look of these boots and would really like to get a pair.

Good boot

I'm really happy I purchased this boot. The patina has developed to an awesome affect over half a year. And the boot is light enough to wear during late spring and early summer days in some parts of the USA.

Do it!

I had been looking at these boots for a while and boy am I glad I finally pulled the trigger. If you are even thinking about buying these, just go ahead and get them. You won't be sorry. They are light weight, comfortable and a beautiful color. I do agree with the rest of the reviews here and recommend going a full size down. I wear an 11.5 and the 10.5 is still a touch long but the correct width.
