Caperton Reds (original)
$100
- Waist
- Curved waist band for better fit and no bunching of fabric
- Rise
- Medium rise, with some magic in the seat to be comfortable but not frumpy
- Thigh
- Flattering cut is neither too tight nor too loose
- Inseam
- Our pants come with a longer inseam than most guys need—34" for waist sizes up to 33, 36" for waist sizes 34 and above. We know that hemming is an extra step, but it is one that we believe is important for pants that break perfectly over your shoes.
- Finish
- Bonobos signature boot cut offers a slightly wider leg opening for the perfect finish to your trousers
- Fabric
- Midweight stretch corduroy
- Color
- Breton (Nantucket) red
Bonobos is thrilled to introduce the second generation Capertons, our Breton (Nantucket) red mid-weight stretch corduroy. Perfect for cocktails at the yacht club on a cool summer night, yet equally at home when paired with a button down or a sweater at an autumn football tailgate. It’s warmer and sturdier than our famous lightweight corduroy, but the color is entirely appropriate for beaches, boats, and bars.
Caperton is one of the most unusual guys we've ever met: grew up on a farm in Kentucky, not far from where his great grandfather Adam Caperton became one of the first white men to see the Kentucky River as Daniel Boone's right hand man.
True story? It's hard to second guess Caperton. He gathers credibility with a dignified accent, like a Brit working on US soil. Instead of West End/Oxbridge London, he spews an impeccably hewn Kentucky gentry meets Boston Brahmin with a glaze of Vanderbilt Sigma Nu. He wandered a barnyard as a toddler in winter and sailed the Penobscot Bay and Walker Pond in Maine in summer. He is well read, articulate, and bespoke. An American original. The world needs more of you, Cape, and they certainly need more of your trousers. We’re here to help.
