Shiver me straight-leg… The old maverick devil of the high seas is the namesake for this straight-legged trouser, deep and blue as the Mariana Trench. Jon Aalto of Finland won our naming contest with his suggestion, and for pointing out that these pants are "equally at home on a yacht, in a fight with pirates, or, as might happen nowadays… both." To Jon! To Finland!

For all you hipsters out there thirsting for that sleek, straight look: we're serving it up in one of our all-time favorite hues of our legendary premium belgian cotton twill. Pair with sea foam green, shark silver, doubloon gold, sunset pink, parrot bay blue… Accessorize with brown gauntlet boots, light-colored boat shoes, eye patches, sextants, cutlasses, vintage distressed red-and-white-striped v-neck tees, and a neatly braided goatee. It may also be best to assume a pseudonym that strikes fear into the hearts of others: as Westley taught us in the Princess Bride, "a pirate operating under his own name is said to be incapable of such infamy [as the Dread Pirate Roberts]."
