We’ve reneged on our promise to name all navy pinewales after ‘80s video games because we learned that “having the color of the trousers in the name, actually makes it EASIER for customers to shop on our website.” And it gives us another chance to honor one of our favorite creatures: the tuna fish. It’s hard to imagine that the fishbits you ate as kid with mayo and celery come from a majestic beast (Thunnus Thynnus) that can grow to 14ft in length and is a remarkably efficient predator. A delicacy around the globe, one blue fin even sold for over $100K at auction in Tsukiji, our favorite Tokyo fish market.

From a versatility and ease-of-use standpoint, the lure of the Blue Fins is easy to appreciate. They can be worn classy with a sportshirt, a dress shirt, or sweater and loafers. Or they can work the casual rounds, with sneakers, polos, tees, and sandals. The navy hue hints of indigo and looks best when paired with lighter colors on top. The Blue Fins are a superb substitute for blue jeans.
