This name is almost too good to be true. Superfreakonomics is not only the name of an upcoming sequel to one of our favorite books of all time, Freakonomics by Stephen J. Dubner and Steven D. Levitt, but also a sweet tribute to Rick James, the 70s, and Motown.
But really it’s the book, and their blog that we love so much – Dubner has one of the best jobs on earth; he gets paid to talk to and write about fascinating, brilliant thinkers and help spread their genius in immensely readable, enjoyable stories. And we thought we had it good making cool pants and selling them on the internet.
We’re thrilled to release the Superfreakonomics, our own sequel to the Too Dark, Too Stormy Bonobos brown wool franchise that has dominated the world of silly-fresh dark wool trousers for over a year now. The outfit advice remains the same here: wear these Bonobos with any hue of brown leather shoes, although we say the lighter the better, and belts to match. On top, we do anything from cream cashmere sweaters to crisp light blue dress shirts. The double black diamond men among us will add the Golden Sage belt, a vintage safari canvas jacket in khaki with leather elbows and shotgun rest on the front shoulder, and carry a blunderbuss in hand, loose leaf tobacco and a snake bite kit in the front pockets.
