The Brown Bears return to our line after a 21-month hiatus. The first five pairs of Bonobos were made with this fabric and driven around Palo Alto for "fittings" back in the spring of 2007. The crazy thing was that they seemed to fit everyone that put them on… They are rumored to have been the first pair ever sold, to Bryan Wolff of the Bryan Wolff Browns, the name of their pinwale brethren.

We are thrilled to revive this trustworthy, soft, ferocious pair of pants. A versatile addition to our stretch cord line, they can dress up or down - with polos, button downs, sweaters, even t-shirts. Just stay away from matching with black or brown. As for footwear, contrast works well — light-colored sneakers and lighter brown leather shoes are best, but dark brown hues are also okay. Here's to hoping the Brown Bears come back to California one day, where they originated and where they haven't been seen since 1922.
