Bottle rockets are back!
I'm really glad to see these are back for 2013. I missed out on them last year and now, having worn them for a few weeks, don't know what I did without them.
The material is "sailcloth-inspired"... it resembles a car-heart work pant but isn't as heavyweight so can be worn on warmer fall days.

The cloth looks to me like canvas; as Steve noted, it's a bit like something from Carhartt, but lighter weight than they'd use in traditional work clothes. I think the jeans will remain useful into at least the start of the Florida summer steam bath.
The slim straight fit is not confining. I think that's aided by the fabric, which seems considerably more flexible than the Cone denim in Bonobos' slim straight jeans. These jeans even feel looser than slim straight Bonobos' chinos. Jeans-type pants from Target's Mossimo Supply and the tighter Levi's jeans are (for lumpy me) thigh or calf-stickers.
The Bonobos Bottle Rocket will get lots of use, usually with boat shoes like the ones in the photo above.
I was somewhat surprised by the button fly, which works very well, though the button holes came with a few stray threads. The Bonobos Cone denim blue jean comes with a zipper fly. Odd.
Been debating on these for a bit and when they dropped this low in price I jumped on them. I'm 6'1" 175 and bought 33x32 and the fit is very good, probably could have even gone 32x32 since the denim will stretch. The material is very nice and a lot lighter in weight than I thought which I like. Could be worn into some warmer months no problem.
