What you need to know

Fine wool flannel has long been used for luxury suiting here in America, but the origins of this warm and wearable fabric stretch back to the nation of Wales, where weavers have been making such textiles since the misty Celtic past. As a small homage to its origins, Bonobos presents our latest and finest wool flannel suit, the Pembroke, named after the Welsh seaport where flannels were once woven and exported around the globe. Made with luxury and elegance in mind, the Pembroke’s flannel is from the celebrated Italian mill, Marzotto, and the design features a fully lined interior, striped piping details, and a double vent for style and comfort – all with the Bonobos New Tailored Fit. Be it business, pleasure, or some combination of the two, a sharp flannel suit makes a statement, and with the Pembroke, that statement will be all the bolder.

Bonobos has toiled long and hard to make the fit of our suits this year even better. We made the fit across the chest snug but not constraining for a trim look that's also comfortable. We made tailoring it to perfection even easier by making the button cuffs non-functioning. We boosted the heft of the pockets and interlining for added durability, and narrowed the lapels for a more modern look. We kept the same great attention to detail and appreciation of fine European fabrics and old world craftsmanship from some of our friends up north in Canadia. If you've tried one of our wonderful suits before, you'll be amazed at how far we've come. If you haven't tried one before, now's the time to jump in the boat.

Fabric off-putting

The suit fit fairly well. However, the fabric itself was really odd. Was shiny, stiff and almost seemed like fabric used for arts and crafts or something. Disappointing!
