Better in Picture
The pictures don't really reflect the actual color. The pant is a brighter olive, not as dark as the picture reflects. While the fit in the thigh out of the box is slim, the pants tend to stretch more than I expected, making them looser than I prefer. I have larger athletic legs so don't be concerned about them being too tight if you do not. The pants don't really have the tapered look the pictures suggest, or at least that I am looking for. And the pants seem to run longer than normal (I am almost invariably a size 34 in length but had to get the 32). That said, the pants look well-made and feel good. But alas, I will be returning them to continue my pursuit of the white whale: slim, flattering chinos for athletic legs.
For reference: I'm 6'2, 175 and ordered a 32/32.
Not very slim
A friend of mine recently bought chinos from bonobos and was raving about them. I decided to go with this color in my usual 33x32. The pants don't taper like they do in the picture. Fit more like straight or bootcut even. They were also a bit loose in the waist and long like the above reviewer mentioned. Unfortunately, I have to return. wish they would go full slim instead of slim straight. I am an athletic 6'1 185
I can totally understand the discrepancy between what things may look like on the Internet versus in real life, however, I just ordered and received these pants, my first pair of Bonobos, and I think they're fantastic. I went to Bonobos's brick & mortar in Georgetown to nail the sizing, then I ordered these. The fit is excellent, the fabric is very comfortable, and the color, imo, is exactly as it appears online. The pants go very well with grey, black, and everything in between. I only wish I would have ordered more pants when the black Friday sale was on. I will wait until another opportunity presents itself, but I am definitely a convert. Also, I like the button, but not everyone else who tries to use it as familiar. Hope this helps.
