When was it, again? Ah, yes, 1998, backpacking through Europe, hardly a Swiss franc or a Spanish peso to your name, that was when you discovered the Check Republic. When you first heard the tales, you couldn’t believe it. What? A 100% cotton plaid shirt freshly liberated from the drudgery of the Iron Curtain, bursting with nightlife, culture, and optimism? A plaid shirt that worked hard, and partied even harder? Too good to be true, you said. But alas, you used that Eurail pass, stumbled into Prague, and the Check Republic exceeded all of your wildest shirt dreams. Too good to be true? Hardly. The Check Republic is stylish, comfortable, and alive with color. Just like the new plaid sport shirt from Bonobos. Or the country. Wait, which were we talking about? Doesn’t even matter. They’re both awesome.
