At the southernmost and most Pacificy corner of the South Pacific, one might find a realm where chill, fresh winds sweep down from glacier-capped mountains, and cold, cleansing mists roll in from the sea. Lands, possibly, where wooly sheep outnumber people eight to one, and in a quirk of hemispheric fate, summer doesn’t even begin until well after ours is ending. And then there’s the Vegemite . . . lots and lots of Vegemite. With all of this in mind, it seems only right and proper that Bonobos celebrate a bit of these ruggedly virile, sheep-shearing regions with a line of aptly-named wool sweaters. And if it’s cool, crisp weather you seek, may we suggest Wellington, Canberra, and Hobart?
Canberra
Merino wool – simply stated, it’s tough to beat. Soft, supple, convincingly warm, it’s no wonder that the merino sweater so often becomes one’s go-to garment when the cold weather hits. And Bonobos is proud to present our own offering for the man who loves merino (or is from snowy river), our new Canberra sweater, named after the capital of, well, the merino capital of the world, Australia. This v-neck sweater features subtle contrast ticking stripe on the side, and will go as well beneath a sport coat as with an old pair of favorite jeans. Warmth, comfort, and versatility? Just try Canberra.
