Tough to rate these jeans 3 stars. The color is great and the fit was great too, but compared to other jeans I've gotten from bonobos, these felt low rise. When the trying them on, I felt like my butt was going to be out if I were to wear them around. Maybe it's just the pair I got? Not sure. Just one man's experience with these. I had to return them.
I'm really happy with these jeans and prefer the cut to the premium denim jeans, which don't fit me as well. For me, the cut is more similar to the travel jeans but narrower in the leg. I wear a 33 waist on these and the travel jeans, and a 34 waist for bonobos pants and Levi's 514s...
I agree with Will
I've owned several pairs of Bonobos jeans, and these fit completely differently than the rest. I agree that they are super low-rise as well - and not in a cool, fashionable way. I'm shocked they're even produced by the same company.
Great fit. Great look. Right length.
These may be my favorite Bonobos jeans. The distressed look is perfect without looking contrived. The length for me is perfect on The Blue Jean, whereas on two previously ordered Premium Denim jeans the length is much longer. All four or five Bonobos jeans I own are 32" length, but all vary greatly from one another. Someone's doing some drinking in the factory.
I do agree that these feel like they are a little bit low rise and the thighs fit a bit more snuggly than I expected. But now that I've worn them for a few weeks and they're breaking in they either a fitting much better or I'm just getting used to showing my a** crack. The quality of the jeans is great and I really like the wash. The thighs have broken in and fit nicely. Still not sure about the low rise effect. If you're really sensitive to that these probably are not great for you. For me, it's not a big issue unless I'm wearing a tucked in button down, which I rarely do with these jeans
