Sure, Bruce may fancy himself “the Boss,” and those Duke boys never failed to bump heads with the imposing Boss Hog, but we all know there’s only one real boss in American history: Boss Tweed. That high-living, high-rolling, ok, maybe a little bit unscrupulous, but none-the-less beloved Big Man of Tammany Hall, New York City would not be what it is today without the likes of such a pantagruelian character. He loved his city almost as much as his whiskey, and if he could down a few steak and lobster dinners or bet on bare-knuckles in the process, so be it.
