Hey Bonobos fans. For those of you who were able to brave the drizzle and sweltering weather to join us at our pop-up launch party in Montauk this past Saturday, thanks! For the rest of you, we wanted to pass along some pictures of the event. In summary: it was a smashing success! Over 150 friends–old and new–joined us for Veev cocktails, champagne, ice-cold beer and ridiculously tasty, beachy bites from 668 The Gigshack. For those that stayed for music and booty-shaking next door at the Memory Motel, I think we all agree the entire night was a great time. Check out the shots of the crowd and the Bonobos team snagged by sneaky paparazzi (our intern, Tee) below.
Still haven’t seen the pop-up? You’re in luck! We’re staying open another week! So head out out to Cynthia Rowley Montauk (696 Montauk H’way) and check out the Shack in the Back!

Wondering what to do this weekend? We have an idea for you: plane, train, or automobile it out to The End (a.k.a. Montauk, NY) for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. That’s right, the first-ever Bonobos pop-up shop is up and running, and we couldn’t be more excited. Located in the “Shack in the Back” behind Cynthia Rowley’s beach shop, our shop is 9 x 9 feet of heaven.

We spent yesterday getting this place in shape. Ninja Sean, Intern Hillary, and yours truly put in a good 8 hours of sweat equity getting this place ready to go. Some supporting players in our efforts were a very smelly rental van, ridiculous Hamptons traffic, white paint, rope, and a few beers. Check out the shots below!
This place exudes Montauk charm. Laid back, rustic, and off the beaten path from other Hamptons havens, the Bonobos pop-up shop is set up for the guy that is determined to make the most out of his summer. This place is an explosion of signature Bonobos color. Shorts, polos, pants, blazers and a full-on swim shop are here waiting for you. What’s more is we have a great event with drinks and bites on Saturday from 6-8, and then live music next door at the Memory Motel at 10. Join us for a great time.

For those of you who don’t know, Bonobos is launching its first ever pop-up shop this weekend! We’re partnering with Cynthia Rowley at her beach shop in Montauk (at 696 Montauk Highway, to be exact) and we couldn’t be more excited; so in celebration, we’re offering some stellar savings! We’ve created a look perfect for summer getaways and weekend pool parties and we’ve named it, yeah you probably guessed it, The Montauk. Creative, we know.
Check it out:
The Montauk consists of some Bonobos summer essentials: the Rojopolo; the Nurples; the Belted Cow Lobster Belt; and a pair of white Generic Surplus Plimsolls to round it all out. If you purchase the entire look, you’ll save $40! The discount is applied automatically at checkout so it couldn’t be easier. Supplies are limited and the discount offer expires on July 16th, so act now if you want to rock The Montauk.
If you’re out east this weekend, stop by our shop. We’re open from Friday, July 9 through Tuesday, July 13. We’re having a little event at the shop on Saturday from 6-8 p.m., so stop by and have a drink and some bites. And catch some great live music next door at the Memory Motel starting at 10 p.m. See you there!

One of the most incredible sports stories in history has just unfolded before our very eyes and no, it’s not happening in South Africa. Bonobos loyalist John Isner just won what’s been dubbed the Wimbledon Marathon in the 138th game of the final set against Nicolas Mahut. The match resumed this morning around 10:30 am after being suspended due to darkness by Wimbledon officials for the 2nd time last night (the match started Tuesday evening).
Even if you don’t love tennis, let us put this in perspective for you: these two gentlemen (it is Wimbledon after all) played for more than 11 hours. In that time, you could have flown to London, gotten a cup of tea, watched the changing of the guards, met the queen, made your way to the All England Lawn Tennis Club, grabbed some strawberries and cream, found your seat and caught the final hour or so of the match. The previous record for longest match was 6 hours, 33 minutes and the Isner/Mahut match almost doubled that time.
We weren’t sure how it was going to end but those of us here at HQ were pulling hard for for the big man, John Isner! John: if you are able to walk again after this marathon match, we have some pants waiting for you.
Watching the match got us thinking about athletic apparel. What brands do you guys wear when you play tennis, golf or maybe even cricket? Technical fabric or cotton? What about shoes? PF Flyers resurrecrted a tennis classic with their 1947 Sumfun reissue. I’d like to get my hands on a pair of those, stat. We’ve been toying around with the idea of an athletic line for a long time and would love some input so send it our way.
Cheerio!

Ok all you tweeters, here’s where following @bonobosninjas is going to pay off. Monday, June 21st is going to be the first official GoGo Ninja expedition! GoGo Ninja is a program that we are going to start doing to include you all in the Bonobos experience a little closer to home (as long as your home is New York City). This is your chance to meet a couple of the ninjas and even win some cold hard “Bonobucks!”
This first expedition is going to be to in Bryant Park (40th and 6th Avenue). Starting at 5:00pm, one or two of the ninjas will be camped out for the premiere of the Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. The first flick in the series is Ian Flemming’s James Bond in Goldfinger! We’ll be there doing a bit of cheese and baguette grubbin’ and answering all of your emails, tweets, etc.
Here’s where the fun begins. We’ll be handing out gift certificates to the three people throughout the night. However, we won’t just be doing something for nothing. We are looking for 3 specific things:
1. Someone to show up and yell, “I LOVE BONOBOS!” in the middle of the park.
**Prize = $15 gift certificate
2. Someone to come say hi that is actually wearing a pair of Bonobos pants (or polo, shorts, etc).
**Prize = $15 gift certificate
3. Someone who comes to say hi and brings us a 6 pack (which of course we wouldn’t drink until we are at home…).
**Prize = $25 gift certificate
We will have a blanket and some sort of Ninja flag so that you can find us a little easier and most likely we’ll have a couple consolation prizes for any stragglers. We’ll also be tweeting updates on who has shown up and what they’ve done so that you will be aware of what tasks are left.
See you on Monday, June 21!

ps- We’ve got a challenge for those NOT in Bryant Park as well! With the ease of using video now a days (iPhone, Flip cam, 8mm, etc…), if you are at an outdoor movie in a park and can capture a quick video of the film you’re seeing AND you or your friends standing up and yelling, “I LOVE BONOBOS!” we’ll extend a prize to you as well! Just email ninjas@bonobos.com with the video attached and its all yours.
